The Christmas season is fast approaching, and if you haven’t started planning or launching your holiday marketing efforts, you’re behind the ball!  Any decent holiday marketing campaign requires strategy, planning, and a strong execution. You’re doing your business a huge disservice if you’ve not put the time and energy into crafting a strong holiday campaign. Whether you’re launching a new product, want to increase overall sales, or want to give back to your customers, here are some creative tips to help you successfully market your business this holiday season.

Do a mini photoshoot for your products or services to pitch through social media and email.  A few festive images that resonate with your customers can really make your brand shine! Make sure that the photos are high quality and really show off your offerings.

Create a Gift Giving Guide

Holiday shopping is going to be top of mind for your customers starting now! Providing a gift guide can help them get more of their shopping done faster.  Think about your target audience and how you can help highlight your products or services. You can categorize by age, interest, dollar value, best sellers, etc.  Perhaps there are other businesses that you can collaborate with.  A collaborative gift guide can actually help you leverage other audiences without spending a dime!

Host a Holiday Giveaway

‘Tis the season of giving!  A giveaway can create some buzz around your brand and increase your brand awareness. Keep the entrance requirements simple and be sure to promote your giveaway on your social channels.  Also consider providing a discount code to participants, so they don’t leave empty-handed. 

Attend Vendor Events

For solopreneur “makers”,  craft fairs and other vendor events are a great way to spread word of mouth and increase sales.  The shop local trend has become a massive movement, and vendor events are a great way to make connections and increase your sales during the holidays.

Offer Freebies for Online Sales

If you offer online shopping, consider offering a free gift or free shipping to increase online sales.  You can deliver this messaging through a number of ways: email, social media, and/or pop-ups on your website. 

Create Holiday Messaging 

Create some feel good holiday messaging to post on your social channels.  Even if it’s a very organic video from your phone, every point of connection counts.  You could also share some happy customer reviews, or user generated content.  Spreading this kind of holiday cheer can keep your brand top of mind and helps to maintain/develop relationships with your consumers. 

The holidays can be a busy and overwhelming time, but marketing your business for the holiday season shouldn’t be one of the tasks that you let fall to the wayside. A strong holiday campaign is a great way increase your brand awareness and boost your sales.
